Background of MAF Veterans Foundation

Veterans Foundation was established in 2004 and registered under the Companies Act 1965 as companies limited by guarantee. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence.


  • To run the program and activities of the collection and contribution of the private sector and the public to fill the coffers of the Foundation.
  • To run the program and activities to raise public awareness to give due recognition to the sacrifices rendered by Veterans.
  • Managing applications for assistance and distribute to individual Veterans who meet the eligibility criteria set.
  • Generally, the Foundation complements the role of the Department of Veterans' Affairs in helping Veterans.


MAF Veterans Foundation established by the primary objective of strengthening the welfare programs being undertaken by the Department of Veterans' Affairs through the contribution of financial resources from the public, including corporate and investment foundations.

Donations and Tax Exemption
Contributions should be made payable to "FOUNDATION VETERAN ATM". Each contribution will be given income tax exemptions under the authority of Section 44 (6) of the Income Tax Act 1967. Any questions or more information please call 03-2050 8191/8194.
