The Department of MAF Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) was established under the Ministry of Defence in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet on 11 October 2000. It began operation on 1 January 2001 at 301, Medan Tuanku, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur. The department is responsible for assisting the enhancement of the socio-economic status of military Veterans and to safeguard their welfare upon termination of their services with the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF).
