Types of Aid Scheme

Cost of Living Aid

The aim of this scheme is to provide monthly financial assistance to alleviate the burden of cost of living of the MAF veterans and their dependants who are deprived, ill, disabled and suffering from chronic diseases based on the prescribed PLI calculation.

The maximum aid is RM200 per month. This scheme is also available to widows and orphans of deceased MAF veterans.

Schooling Aid

The DVA Schooling Aid aims to finance underprivileged MAF veterans’ children to further their studies at the primary and secondary levels based on their eligibility according to the prescribed PLI calculation.

The aid is RM500.00 per annum for primary school and RM700.00 per annum for secondary school. This aid is limited to one child per family.

Medical Equipment Aid

This scheme is aimed at providing lump sum financial assistance to veterans, their wives and dependants to purchase patient support equipment such as wheelchairs, walking sticks, beds and mattresses.

The maximum rate is a lump sum payment of RM5,000.00. Every application must be accompanied by a report from a government doctor to support the requirement, price quotation and the original purchase receipts of the equipment.

Entrance to Public Institution of Higher Learning Aid

The aim of this scheme is to lessen financial burden during the registration of MAF veterans’ children admitted into public institution of higher learning.It is an incentive and motivation to them to further their studies at a higher level.

The lump sum assistance of RM700.00 for diploma level studies and RM1,000.00 for first degree studies.

Natural Disaster Aid

This scheme is aimed at providing financial assistance for the suffering sustained and damages to houses resulting from natural disasters. The maximum rate of assistance is RM5,000.00. Applications must be supported by proof/ official report from the relevant government authorities.
